Bobby G. Ward

Bobby G. Ward, 89, of Hortense passed away Sunday morning, March 1, 2026, at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born in Brunswick to Horace and Ola Miller Ward. He was also preceded in death by his wife Lillian Holmes Ward; four brothers, and one sister.

Mr. Ward retired from Hercules as an Engineer after twenty-six years of service. He enjoyed fishing, mechanicing, sitting around the fire, and doing anything outdoors.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby Ward, Jr. (Peggy) of Hortense, Glenn Ward of Hortense, William Ward of Hortense; two daughters, Jean Cravey of Brunswick, and Mary Lewis (Gerald) of Raybon; one sister, Mary Stewart (Harold) of Corpus Christi; 11 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, March 4, 2026, beginning at 10 am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 11 am at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta with Pastor Luke Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Lane Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bob Ward, Bobby Scott, Mitch Ward, James Johnson, Don Edenfield, and Ray Hodge.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
