Waynesville – Betty Brockington Daniels, 89, of Waynesville passed away Monday (March 25, 2024) at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Waverly, GA her parents were Dan Brockington and Beatrice Brockington. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Eulis “Nuben" Roscoe Daniels who she married in 1951; 2 sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Nadine Daniels; and 2 great grandchildren, Kaden Fort and Kullen Fort.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of Horse Stomp Methodist Church in Waverly from an early age. She was also a member of both Palmetto South Church of God and Palmetto Pentecostal Church for over 50 years and taught Sunday School for 25 years, teaching lots of children, including her family about the Lord. Betty was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and enjoyed reading, writing, drawing, and doing arts and crafts.
Survivors include her 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Ellis Daniels (Becky), Larry Daniels (Darlene), Bill Daniels (Lori Ann) and Nick Daniels (Denise); 9 grandchildren, Susanna Dicks (Brad), Ginger Hendrix (Mike), Lynn Daniels (Mike), Irene Thomas (Bill), Queena Metts (Martin), Mary Beth Fort (Joey), Mindy Edge (Jeff), Christopher Daniels (Rebecca), and Justin Daniels; 25 great grandchildren, Sarah Dicks (Manny), John Dicks, Aaron Dicks (Katy), Amelia Rowell (Dalton), Aniston Hendrix (Lane), Harley Johnson (Nick), Jesse Thornton (Alexis), Addy Price (Robert), Alea Thornton (Evan), Courtney Ammons, Shawn Hand, Trent Thomas (Olivia), Matthew Thomas, Eli Thomas, Ashlynn Stalvey Eldridge, Little Byron Stalvey, Leighanna Metts, Hunter Metts, Kierson Fort, Khoen Fort, Mary Kailyn Fort, Koralyn Fort, Kamdon Fort, Gage Cline, and Ryan Daniels; 7 great great grandchildren, Adley Rowell, Evie Rowell, Blair Johnson, Bindy Johnson, Gavin Price, Elise Timmons and Adalynn Eldridge; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (March 27, 2024) from 6pm -8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A graveside service will be held Thursday afternoon (March 28, 2024) at 2pm at Palmetto Cemetery with Rev. Bill Johns and Rev. Samuel David Inman officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Thornton, John Dicks, Aaron Dicks, Matthew Thomas, Trent Thomas, Little Byron Stalvey, and Khoen Fort. Honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Daniels.
