Waynesville – Bentley Gene Gibson, 12, of Waynesville passed away Friday evening (May 6, 2022) from injuries sustained after an ATV accident.
Born in Brunswick, GA his parents are Jamey Lynne Henderson and Kelly Gibson.
Bentley was a 6th grade student at Atkinson Elementary School, who loved his mother, sister and brother and was loved by all who knew him. He was an avid fisherman, a born leader and loved playing basketball, running track, being a prankster, and riding buggies and 4-wheelers.
Survivors include his mother, Jamey L. Gibson of Waynesville; his father, Kelly Gibson of Raybon; his brother, Brody Gibson of Waynesville; his sister, Bailey Gibson of Waynesville; maternal grandparents, Jeff & Lisa Henderson of Waynesville; Angie Stokes and Billy & Elaine Neal; his paternal grandparents, Gary & Rhonda Sellers and Ronnie Gibson; maternal great grandmother, Betty Jo Thompson; and also several cousins, other relatives and many many friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon (May 14, 2022) from 1pm -3pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon (May 14, 2022) at 3pm at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wainright, Paul Able and Jay Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Highsmith Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gene Wilson, Justin Dykes, Jesse Henderson, William Moore, Cameron Camp, and Tyler Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Daniels, Jr., Landon Sears, Tyler Chancelor, Holden Wainright, Michael Lowman, Landon Buchanan, and Iderious Roberson.
Arrangement are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
