Barbara Roberts

Nahunta- Barbara Ann Riggins Roberts, 79 of Nahunta, passed away Sunday (April 14, 2024) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA., her parents were Charlie Riggins and Louise Lynn Riggins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Roberts; her son, Robert Barksdale; her siblings, Evelyn Fender, Curtis Riggins and Linda Holton; 3 brothers-in-law, Jimmy Fender, Chuck Eastman and Kenny Raulerson; a sister-in-law, Jean Riggins.

Mrs. Barbara worked many years for Brantley County Schools as a Bus Driver. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and scratch off tickets. She also loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary Barksdale (Tammy) and Jeff Barksdale, all of Nahunta; her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Byerly (Chuck), of Woodbine; 4 grandchildren, Erin Henderson (Remington), Ryan Barksdale (Haley), Cassie Logsdon (David), and Jarrett Barksdale; many great grandchildren; and a sister, Pam Raulerson, of Brunswick. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (April 17, 2024) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning (April 18, 2024)  at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Savery officiating.

Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Barksdale, Remington Henderson, David Logsdon, Brad Faircloth, Phoenix Barksdale, and Paul Nelms.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
