Barbara 'Joyce' Moore

Nahunta- Barbara “Joyce” Guinn Moore, 59 of Nahunta, passed away Monday (January 7, 2019) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina., her parents were Ronnie Joe Guinn and Ruby Carolyn Ingle Guinn. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kim Guinn.

Joyce worked many years as a nurse for Ware State Prison. She attended Grace Community Church of God and enjoyed fishing, vacationing, loved the Mountains, gardening, cooking, taking pictures, helping others and fellowshipping with friends.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Michael Lee Moore, of Nahunta; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Lee Moore, Jr., of Nahunta, and Roger Moore (Kayla), of Nahunta; 8 grandchildren, Taylor Moore, Katlyn Moore, Michael Moore, Darian Moore, Michayla Bonilla, Lillie Moore, Natalie Moore, and Abbie Carolyn Moore; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Denise McQuaig, of Nahunta, Susan Altman (Gary), of Hoboken; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie Joe Guinn, Jr. (Denease), of Tampa, Fl.; half brothers and sister, Steven Guinn, Ken Murray Guinn, Terry Dale Guinn, and Darrell Guinn, and Tina Brown; very special sister-in-law, Frances Hall. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (January 9, 2019) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday (January 10, 2019) at 2PM at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Todd, Rev. Ion Johns, and Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brooker, Jeff Highsmith, Jessie Duncan, B.J. Moore, Richard Chesser, Martin Moore, Stanley Guinn, and Steve Guinn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hospice of South Georgia.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
