Arlene Harris Brown

July 18, 1961 — September 4, 2020

Nahunta-Arlene Harris Brown, 59, of Nahunta passed away Friday evening (September 4, 2020) at Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus after an extended illness.

Born in Waycross, GA. her parents are the late Herman Harris and Shirley Highsmith Marshall, of Nahunta.

Arlene loved her family, friends and her beloved dog, Diamond. She loved cooking, being outdoors and was a great Seahawks fan.

Survived by 2 sons; Justin Brown of Washington State and Jordan Brown of Nahunta, 1 step-daughter; Misty Svedberg of Washington State, her mother; Shirley Denty Marshall of Nahunta, 1 sister, Mary Crews of Hickox, a brother and sister-in-law; David Harris (Jodi) of Corunna, Indiana, Special brother-in-law; Billy Crews of Middleburg, FL.,2 Nieces; Darien Harris and Evie Harris, 3 Nephews; Erik Crews (Ashley), Grant Crews (Katie) and Austin Harris,2 Great nieces; Faith Crews and Kimber Crews, a Great Nephew; Gunner Crews. the father of her children; Dennis Brown of Washington State, Also, several other relatives and a host of friends.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services, the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (September 8, 2020) from 6-8 pm at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home , Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday (September 9, 2020) at 11 am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Sheila Withum and Danny Withum officiating.

Burial will be in Knox Cemetery.

Family will be receiving friends at the residence of Mary Crews, 898 Buffalo Creek Dr. Nahunta, GA.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
