Anthony "Tony" John Vassilion

Hortense – Anthony “Tony” John Vassilion, 68, of Hortense passed away Friday afternoon (October 21, 2022) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Raleigh, NC his parents were John Basil Vassilion and Margaret Costa Vassilion.

Tony was a retired teacher and co-owner of Barc Rescue. He loved music, dogs and collecting watches.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Vassilion of Hortense; a son and daughter-in-law, John Vassilion (Cameron) of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Marlina Crews (Ronnie) of Waycross; 5 grandchildren, Clementine Kuntz, Basil Vassilion, Robert Oliver Vassilion, Charlotte Crews and Ronnie Crews; 2 brothers, Basil Vassilion and Harry Vassilion both of Raleigh, NC; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna Buckey (Dave) of Raleigh, NC and Jackie Baird (Michael) of Thomasville, NC; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday (October 24, 2022) starting at 10am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Monday morning (October 24, 2022) at 11am at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Morgan officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
