Ann Davis, 79, of Brunswick passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at her residence.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1963, she moved to Brunswick where she worked for many years at Walmart in Safety Compliance being known by her customers as “Safety Ann”. She was a proud sponsor of St. Jude’s Hospital, Amity House, Safe Harbor and Senior Citizen Center. Ann was a very sweet, kindhearted, passionate, intelligent person with a great sense of humor and always thoughtful and willing to lend a helping hand or listen to those in need and never met a stranger. She truly had a heart of gold. Her compassion for people was shown through lots of things such as passing out angels, coffee mugs, blankets, etc. One of her favorite things to do was to send her friends emojis and gifs “just to remind them of how special they were to her”. Ann loved shopping and would often refer to herself as “your favorite annoying customer”, fellowship time and was always up for going out to eat with friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Davis and daughter Jackie Porter.
Survivors include two daughters M. Ann Davis and Julie; a sister Bonnie Sue; grandchildren Katie McCarthy, April Thompson (Joshua), Heather Barfield and Robert Everhart; great grandchildren Elyjah Thompson, Hayden and Ellie Barfield; the adopted family that she held dear to her heart includes Janice “Brick” Mercer, Charmaine Thomas, Latasha Rozier, Keyanna, Benjamin and Nayanna Delegal, Krishten LeCount, Seth, Ryder and Ryleigh Mercer; and also her very special friends Jocelyne Galdamez, Larry and Eve Moody, Susan and Charley Crumpton, Christina Basham, Jeff Emory, Vicki Kirkland, Keila Wood, Dani Strickland, Derek and Diana Cole, Evelyn and Darrell Davis, Bobby and Sissy McCarthy, Austin and Kevin McCarthy, Keith Walker and Sharon and Al Young.
