Andrew Niece, Jr.

Nahunta- Andrew Niece, Jr., 65 of Nahunta, passed away Sunday (October 23, 2022) at his residence.

Born in Louisville, KY., his parents were Andrew Niece, Sr. and Alice Marie Dotson Niece. He was also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Ally Marie Waters and Briana Nicole Rooks; and two sisters, Beulah Mae Niece and Nannie Michelle Gibson Niece.

Andrew served in the United States National Guard and was a member of Nahunta United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, horses, drag racing, flying remote planes, electric bikes, camping and loved spending time with his family. He worked many years as a Self-Employed Carpenter and was the Owner of Nahunta Hardware for 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Niece, of Nahunta; five sons and a daughter-in-law, Travis Lee Niece, of Nahunta, Brent Louis Niece, of Statesboro, Tim Paul Kramer, of Nahunta, Nathan Andrew Kramer (Astrid), of Santa Ana, CA., and Nickolas Gary Kramer, also of Santa Ana, CA; two daughters, Brandy Jo Niece, of Salem, IN., and Buddie Lynn Niece, of Waycross; six grandchildren, Brendan Andrew Waters (Ashley), Joshua Ian Waters (Ashlyn Brooker), all of Nahunta, Robert “Rod” Batten, III, of Waycross, Samuel Kramer, Oliver Kramer, of California, Emily Rowell, of Hortense, and Ashley Rowell Oliver, of Hortense; 11 great grandchildren; 9 siblings and their spouses, Ted Niece (Karen), of Nahunta, Trisia Derith, of Salem, IN, Charlene Martin (Timmy), of Pekin, IN, Carl Niece (Angie), of Nahunta, Johnny Niece (Lynn), also of Nahunta, Alice Marie Niece, of Lebanon, KY, Darlene Niece, of Noblesville, IN., James Niece (Karen), of Hardinsburg, IN., and Bennie Niece (Jennifer), of Salem, IN. Also several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday (October 27, 2022) at 4PM at Nahunta United Methodist Church with Bro. David Farrier and Rev. Ashton Ham officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
