Woodbine – Alvin “Keith” Kelley, 75, of Woodbine passed away early Friday morning (July 24, 2026) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Fernandina Beach, FL his parents were Sherman Gilbert “Buddy” Kelley and Gloria Smith Kelley. He is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Camdyn Faith Kelley; and a brother, John Lance Kelley.

Keith brought his lifelong dream of owning a towing business to reality with his best friend by his side. Kelley’s Towing was born from one truck and small storage to 34 acres, three heavy duty wreckers and five flatbed trucks with a huge shop to park them at. At some time or the other every member of the family has been a proud employee for Keith until he retired and sold his business in 2018. He was a member of Woodbine First Baptist Church, served on Woodbine Planning and Zoning; was Fire Chief for Woodbine Volunteer Fire Department for 17 years and was a little league football coach. Keith loved all sports especially anything with a ball. He even watched pickleball. Keith loved the Georgia Bulldogs, Camden Wildcats, NASCAR, and drag racing. He could fix anything and loved working on his race car and going out in the boat.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Kelley of Woodbine, who he married October 3, 1992; his 4 children, Craig Kelley, Brian Kelley (Ashley), Wendy Gibson (Shannon) all of Woodbine and Jamie Crews (Alison) of Waverly; 12 grandchildren, Savannah Chancey (Andrew), Madison Clark (Dakota), Georgia Kelley, Brooklyn Kelley, Brashawn Johnson, Magen Kilpatrick (Justin), Michael Gibson, Matthew Gibson, Camryn Kelley, Seth Kennedy, Sara Crews and Caitlyn Kelley; 7 great grandchildren, Lily, Easton, Walker, Beau, Waylon, Summer and Beckett; a brother and sister-in-law, Gil Kelley (Kaye) of Woodbine; and also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday (July 27, 2026) starting at 10am at Woodbine First Baptist Church, 300 W 8th St Woodbine, GA 31569.

A funeral service will be held Monday morning (July 27, 2026) at 11am at Woodbine First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Boyette and Rev. Brett Prince officiating. Burial will follow in Homeward Cemetery in Waverly.

Pallbearers will be Brian Kelley, Craig Kelley, Greg Jackson, Shannon Gibson, Jamie Crews and Brashawn Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers include Dakota Clark, Beau Alvin Clark, Andrew Chancey and Waylon James Chancey.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
