Waynesville – Aaron “Buster” Wesley Bailey, 67, passed away Sunday (October 11, 2020) at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, GA his parents were Seaborn Bailey and Eloise Guess Bailey . He was also preceded in death by several siblings.
Buster worked as a Lab Technician for the Ga. Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of Waynesville Baptist Church. Buster loved racing and was a Charter member of the Waynesville volunteer fire dept. and assistant chief for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marsha Ely Bailey of Waynesville; 1 son and his fiance’, Daron Bailey (Kristi Fountain ) of Waynesville; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Dena Miller (Scott) of Brunswick; 2 grandchildren, Austin Bailey and Brandon Cannon; several great grandchildren; 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Johnny Bailey (Elaine ) of Waycross, Bruce Bailey of Manor; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Bailey Mixon (J.D.) and Barbara Moore (Tim) both of Manor; and also several nieces, nephews, , other relatives and a host of friends.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family asked that you follow the rules for social distancing. Also, if anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services, the family understands and ask you to be in prayer for our loved ones.
Visitation will be held Friday evening (October 16, 2020) from 6-8 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Saturday (October 17, 2020) at 11 AM at the Waynesville Baptist Church with Bro. Carlos Ely and Bro. Jeff Ely officiating.
Burial will follow in the Highsmith cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Troy Strickland, Frankie Meadows, Austin Bailey, Scott Miller, Josh Logue, and Tyler Turner.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Waynesville Fire Department and Honor Guards.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
