Nahunta- Willie Liston Lee, 66, of Nahunta died early Monday morning (August 8, 2011) at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick after an extended illness. Born in Nahunta, GA his parents were George Randell and Wilma Flowers Lee. He is also preceded in death by 2 children, Gwendolyn Lee and Stephen Lee and 2 brothers, Edward Lee and Jessie Lee. Willie was the owner of Lee's Garage and had worked for Gilman Paper Company for 30 years. Also he was a member and a deacon of Winokur Baptist Church and loved hunting, fishing, cooking outdoors and working on cars. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lorraine Conner Lee of Nahunta; 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Lee & Daryl Hand, Carla Kim Lee and Shanakaye Dianne Lee all of Nahunta; 2 grandchildren, Travis Lee Hand and Chelsea Hand both of Nahunta; a brother, Gilbert B. Lee of Nahunta; 3 sisters, Sue Carol Wells of Nahunta, Alsean Groover of Hinesville and Barbara Ann Dang of Hawaii; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (August 9, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon (August 10, 2011) at 1PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. E.C. Crews, Rev. Paul Dubberly and Rev. Lamar Music officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery, Charlton Co. Pallbearers will be Brian Lee, Mark Lee, Brian Little, Vance Wilson, Stephen Crews, Travis Hand, Chris Wells and Scott Kosten. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the family to go to hospice. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
