Terry Thompson

Terry David Thompson, 58 of Waynesville, passed away Friday morning (October 10, 2014) at his sisters residence following an extended illness. Born in Brunswick, GA. his parents are Betty Jo Sheppard Thompson and the late Levy David Thompson. Terry was a member of Waynesville Baptist Church. He loved working, music, playing guitar, races, socializing, and family. He worked many years as a Mobile Home Installer. Survivors include his daughter, Joni Lea Thompson; his mother, Betty Jo Shepperd Thompson, of Waynesville; 3 sisters, Debra Copeland, of Waynesville, Regina Hunter (Eddie), of Waynesville, and Angie Stokes, of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Sunday (October 12, 2014) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held (October 13, 2014) at 3PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Altman and Rev. Monroe Gill officiating. Burial will follow in the Highsmith Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Copeland, Matt Dixon, Aaron Hunter, Ernest Hunter, Gage Copeland, Caleb Dixon, Trace Hunter, Bryston Knight, and Chase Stokes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clinton and Joan Sweat, Ronnie Thompson, Phil Sutton, Lynn Edwards, Don Wheeler, Rick Thompson, Steve Bennett, Timmy Wilson, Tony Sheppard, Dr. Chong, Tom Gibson, Buddy Coleman, Heartland Hospice, Martin Edgy, Jeff and Lisa Henderson, Brad Bradford, Sarah Herrin, Brandi Dixon, and Nancy Hart.
