Raymond Head

Hilliard- Raymond Head, 74 of Hilliard, FL., passed away Sunday (February 12, 2017) at Northeast Florida Community Hospice, following an extended illness.

Born in Jacksonville, FL., his parents were Meyers E. Head and Lucille Williams Head. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Idells Mayeaux, and Judy Horne.

Raymond was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and loved the mountains. He retired after working many years for the City of Jacksonville as a Park Keeper.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Faye Head, of Hilliard; two sons, Gerald and Billy Head; one daughter, Angie Head; stepson, Randy Spaulding; his sister and brother-in-law, Inez Nail (Johnnie), of Flora Home, Fl.; his brother and sister-in-law, George Head (Gail), of Orange Park, FL.; and his aunt, Faye Head, of Waverly; and his great nephew and his spouse, Lason Horne (Abbe), of Hilliard. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (February 15, 2017) from 6-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday (February 16, 2017) at 3PM at Horsestamp Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Kidd officiating.

Pallbearers will be Lason Horne, Chris Owen, Timothy Horne, Travis Gibson, Johnnie Nail, and Roger Nail.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
