Waynesville- James Rouse Thomas, 36, of Waynesville died suddenly Wednesday morning (May 4, 2011) at his mother's residence. Born in Blackshear his parents are the late James Edward Thomas and Catherine Johnson Hair. Rouse worked in construction and loved being on the river, riding 4-wheelers and having cookouts. Survivors include his mother, Catherine Hair of Waynesville; 2 sisters, Catherine "Jeannie" Thomas of Waynesville and Christina Billingsely of Brunswick; a step-brother, Lee Parrish of Williston, SC; his step-mother, Catherine J. Thomas of Williston, SC; his grandfather, James C. Johnson of Gray, GA; 2 nieces and a nephew, Savannah Grace Worth, September Deal and Zachary Deal; 2 uncles, Jimmy & Ruby Johnson of Gray, GA and Jesse Pascal of Williston, SC; a aunt, Joyce Ann & Michael Gunnells of Williston, SC; and also several friends and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday evening (May 7, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A graveside service will be held Sunday afternoon (May 8, 2011) at 2PM at Byrd Cemetery in Bristol. Pallbearers will be William Underwood, Billy Davis, Tony Simpson, George Johnson, Kyle Ahnberg and Benjie Hutchison. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Thomas, Jim Melvin, Chris McCullan, Marcus Stevenson, Kyle Worth, Mike Chesser, Jimmy Johnson, Jay Worth, Mark Johnson and Joey Johnson.
