Donald Elmer Roberson

Hoboken – Donald Elmer Roberson, 69, of Hoboken passed away Thursday (December 9, 2021) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Jesup, GA his parents are Jeanette Lyons Roberson Smith of Hoboken and the late James Elmer Roberson. He is also preceded in death by a son, Scotty Roberson; 2 brothers, Ronnie Roberson and Keith Russell Roberson; a step brother, Leon Robert Smith, Jr. ; his maternal grandparents, Calvin & Navada Lyons; and his paternal grandparents, Carlie & Irene Roberson.
Donald was a millwright for Hercules and of the Pentecostal faith. He loved racing, working on fast cars and doing yard work.
He is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Dacia Olson (Eric) of Ludowicci, Ashleigh Albritton and Amanda Lane (Chris) all of Nahunta; 7 grandchildren, Colby Morris, Faith Morris, Eric Olson, Blake Raulerson, Braizlyn Albritton, Dylan Herrin and Cullen Lane; his mother and stepfather, Jeanette L. Roberson Smith (Leon Robert,Sr.) of Hoboken; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve Roberson (Linda) of Hortense; 2 nieces, Renee Smith (Kris) and Emma Steedley (Chris) all of Nahunta; and also several other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday morning ( December 13, 2021) starting at 11am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Monday (December 13, 2021) at 12pm at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Taylor, Bishop Raymond Willis and Rev. Ronnie Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in Rob Lewis Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kris Smith, Chris Lane, Eric Olson, James Morgan, Blake Raulerson, Colby Morris and Chris Steedley.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations be sent to Frye Funeral Home, 136 Satilla Ave. Nahunta, GA 31553 to offset funeral cost.
