David Leavy Hodge, Jr.

David Leavy Hodge, Jr., 41 of Hortense, passed away Saturday (June 18, 2016) in Jacksonville, FL.

Born in Jacksonville, FL., his parents are David Leavy Hodge, Sr., and Loudine O’Berry Hodge, of Hortense. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hugh and Nora Sloan Hodge; and his maternal grandparents, Henry Wade "Jack" O'Berry and Macy Louise Durrance O'Berry.

David was the owner of Dirty Dog Construction. He loved his dog, working, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include his parents, David and Loudine Hodge,Sr. of Hortense; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa Hodge Tomlinson (Kevin), of Folkston, and Cindy Hodge Ryan (Craig), of Hortense; nieces and nephews, James Bullard, John Paul Bullard, Diana Bond, Miranda Dashnaw, Ben Smith, and Amanda Ratliff; Great nieces and nephews, Dayton and Layden Smith, Richie and Georgia Wall, Justin Dashnaw, Lily and Layla Ratliff, J.D., Brianna, and Eva Bullard; his uncle and aunt, Henry Hodge (Carol). Also many other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday (June 24, 2016) at 2PM at Frye Funeral Home with Bro. Hugh Hodge and Rev. Jason Marden officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1PM.

Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ben Smith, Josh Ratliff, Ervin Hodge, Rev. Jason Marden, Benny Smith, Ronnie Deloach, and Henry Hodge.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
