Carolyn Brockington Thomas

Carolyn Brockington Thomas, 69 of Waverly, went to be with our Lord on April 13, 2014 after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Waverly and passed gently at home. Mrs. Thomas was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother. This large family will truly miss her presence. She is survived by her mother Edna Brockington, husband, Robert "Bobby" Thomas, two sisters and brothers-in-law, JoAnn and Clifton Worth, Linda and James Simpson. She is the mother of two daughters, Angela "Angee" and James Gainey also Robyn Douglas and Michael Rykard. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamey and Jessica Thomas, Tim Williams and Lisa Robinson, Brock and Jenny Williams, Dayne Miller, Devon Thomas and Megan Clutter, Julie Gainey and Ervin Raines IV, Matthew "Bubba" Gainey, Seth Thomas, and Ashley Deane; great grandchildren, Jayden Williams, Mason Thomas, Jocelyn Williams, Harlee Williams, and Baby Raines. She joins her father, John C. Brockington, grandchild, Baby Rykard, and two great grandchildren, Baby Williams and Baby Thomas in heaven. A Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (April 15, 2014) from 6PM-9PM at Horse Stamp United Methodist Church in Waverly. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday afternoon (April 16, 2014) at 2PM at Horse Stamp United Methodist Church with Rev. Gordon Goodwill and Nell Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Horse Stamp Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jamey Thomas, Tim Williams, Brock Williams, Devon Thomas, Bubba Gainey, and Morris Worth. Honorary pallbearers include Seth Thomas, Ervin Raines, IV, Dayne Miller, James Gainey, Michael Rykard, and Jim Miers. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
