Beverly 'Kay' Manning

Blackshear- Beverly "Kay" Manning, 59, of Blackshear died early Saturday morning (September 21, 2013) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Jesup, GA her parents were Al and Laverne Walker Shipes. Kay was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, doing puzzles, crossword books and watching Joel O' Steen on Sunday mornings. Survivors include 2 Sons and Daughters-in-law, First Sergeant John & Michele Manning of Honolulu, HI and Bert & Tiffany Manning of Blackshear; a Daughter and Son-in-law, April & Albert Thomas of Blackshear; 9 Grandchildren, Brittany Manning, Noah Manning, Drew Manning, Madilyn Manning, Mackenzie Jordan, Amiya Manning, Trevon Thomas, Adrian Thomas and Bre Thomas; her children's father, Virgil Manning; Special friends, Verna Dixon and family and Jessica Corbitt; and also several other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (September 23, 2013) from 6-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (September 24, 2013) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery, Offerman. Pallbearers will be Michael Strickland, J.R. Westberry, Immanuel Runyon, Drew Manning, Johnny Runyon and Jamie Dixon. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
