Benjamin Keene, Sr.

Benjamin Franklin Keene, Sr., 53, of Waverly died at his residence Tuesday night (March 9, 2010) following a short illness. Born in Camden Co., GA, his parents were Osgood Alton and Inez King Keene. He worked as a laborer for Ponsell Heating and Air Conditioning and was a member of M and M Hunting Club. Survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Ribbon Keene; a daughter, Kaitlin Ann Keene and a son, Benjamin Franklin Keene, Jr. all of Waverly; 5 Sisters and brothers-in-law, Bobbie Spradley of Blackshear, Linda and Wayne Smith of Blackshear, Hilda and Ron Belanger of Atkinson, Margaret and L. C. Richardson of Waverly, Kitty and Cecil Linton of Waverly; 2 Brothers and a sister-in-law, Roy and Pauline Keene and James (Pee Wee) Keene both of Waverly; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday and Friday evenings (March 11-12, 2010) at his residence in Waverly. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning 11 A.M. (March 13, 2010) at Waverly Methodist Church with Rev. James Dirst officiating. Burial will follow in Horsestamp Cemetery, Waverly. Pallbearers will be Wayne Keene, John Keene, Dean Warner, Lewis (Poochie) Warner, Steven Ribbon, Phillip Head and Hank (Jabo) Lane. Honorary pallbearer will be Walter Helms.
