Life Legacy


Alicia “Renee” Hampton Thigpen, 35, of Nahunta died Saturday afternoon (February 13, 2010) at South East Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a short illness.
Born in Brunswick her parents are Jesse Carroll and Wanda Drawdy Hampton of Hortense.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Renee also enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers , crocheting and playing on the computer.
She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Mark Thigpen of Nahunta; 3 daughters, Nikki Nichole Thigpen, Jessica Renee Thigpen and Emily Michelle Thigpen all of Nahunta; parents, Jesse Carroll & Wanda Drawdy Hampton of Hortense; 2 brothers & a sister-in-law, Cory Shane & Christine Hampton of Brunswick and Quinton Casey Hampton of Hortense; father-in-law & spouse, Mark Shaul & Tammie Ann Thigpen, Sr. of Hoboken; mother-in-law, Marilyn Hulett of Hoboken; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Julie, Jody, Charlie, Sierra and Mark, Jr.; special friends, Becky & Dale Walker of Nahunta; also several Aunts and Uncles and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Monday evening (February 15, 2010)starting at 6 P.M. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (February 16, 2010) at 3 P.M. at Little Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Thigpen officiating. Burial will follow in Whittaker Hill Cemetery in Waynesville.
Pallbearers will be Jody Thigpen, Jeremy Crews, Charlie Williams, Dale Walker, Michael Dale Lee and Anthony Michael Lee.
